2025

The Weight of Making is a physical publication designed to reflects on my learning across the second semester in 2025. Through two previous works, The Poetics of Room and Prescription Only - A Collection of Medicine, I use them as anchors to examine how my practice has evolved around ideas of care, and emotional attention.   

The final outcome is an A2 folded poster, structured into sixteen panels, combining reflective writing with visual metaphors, material experimentation, and personal narrative. 

I chose to work with an A2 folded poster format because the act of unfolding mirrors the nature of reflection itself. 
       The format also allowed me to experiment with paper as a medium, treating it not just as a surface for content, but as an active participant in the work. Folds, scale, and texture became part of the narrative, reinforcing ideas of care through physical interaction.

Many of these issues only became visible after printing, because Printing front and back A2 is challenging. Precise control over margins, fold lines, and page order is required and small shifts in alignment or paper choice could affect both readability and the way the piece was handled.
